My designs are a tribute to the overlooked. Living between the Swiss Alps and the raw Jura landscape, I focus on a single local plant per pattern. Each species—no matter how small—is essential to our fragile ecosystem. By reduction and repetition, I transform these botanical solitaires into minimalist, moody surface designs. My work is an invitation to look closely, appreciate the honest beauty of nature, and take care of what remains.

The Evolution of Quietness: From the Alps to the Raw Jura
For over three decades, the dramatic verticality of the Swiss Alps inspired my work and gave birth to Herbal Things in Mürren. Today, my creative journey has led me to a new, contrasting landscape: the raw, misty, and solitary heights of the Jura region.
This landscape mirrors my deepest design philosophy: honesty, reduction, and monumental simplicity. Here, surrounded by centuries-old solitary trees and weathered limestone, I continue to refine my focus. I do not create crowded, loud patterns. My concept remains strict and respectful: I place a single, wild plant at the center of each design—like the sculptural Gentiana Acaulis. By isolating the plant, showing it in overlapping layers and muted, mineral color palettes, I give the small and overlooked species the grand stage they deserve. Because every single plant is an indispensable part of our fragile ecosystem, and my designs are an invitation to stand still, look closely, and take care.
